BRAND DESIGN NURSING
The Herbstfreude Foundation (Frankfurt am Main, Germany) supports staff in the care sector, as well as patients and their relatives. Various projects maintain or improve the physical and mental health of everyone involved. Regardless of whether it is inpatient, outpatient or home care, the Herbstfreude Foundation makes people in care flourish and reactivates positive forces.

We were hired to develop the brand design. The sensitive and human approach to the target group was in particular focus. The special feeling for people as well as working with the hand are reflected in the brand design.
LOGO DESIGN
The name "Herbstfreude" is derived from the flower of the same name. In addition, “Herbstfreude” translates “joy in autumn”. As autumn is the beautiful season in the second half of the year, it creates positive associations with the second half of the life of the elderly.

Since most carers are women, the logo appeals to feelings of loveliness, tenderness and softness.
COLORS
The Herbstfreude colour spectrum is based on a positive and friendly mood. Activating and bright colours are accentuated by more subtle colour nuances.

An opulent handwriting in the heading subtly picks up on the logo and conveys a feeling of humanity. The serif font "Literata" creates trust and, thanks to conditional ligatures, offers a special extravagance in a microtypographic aspect. In addition, this serif typeface is equipped with very special italic styles.

SECONDARY STYLE ELEMENTS (SSE)
The secondary style element (SSE) serves as a visual constant that runs through the entire corporate identity and brand design. It transports the “look and feel” of the Herbstfreude Foundation through all means of communication and visually holds the brand together.

In this brand design, a heavily zoomed section of the logo flower in grayscale with a special transparency effect serves as the secondary style element.
