Start with old-fashioned logo, 2 colors, business card and letterhead. Problems finding staff.

What we did:

Branding as the perfect basis for consistent growth as a franchise business. Creation of all communication materials (website design, brochures, business cards, letterhead, etc.) including bold copywriting. Employer branding to attract new employees and establish Spedination as a top regional brand.

Result:

+180% sales growth just one year after launching the new branding. Ten to 15 job applications per week for the German office alone, without having to pay for advertisement. Maximum recognition and establishment as an absolute top brand.

As a hip start-up in the freight forwarding business, Spedination (Langkampfen, Austria) sees itself as a networker and profit generator for everyone involved in the transport process: employees, freight forwarders, and customers or delivery clients. Seamless tracking of goods, an above-average level of digitalization, and an unparalleled team spirit are what distinguish Spedination.


We were hired with the holistic branding, including logo design and web design, as well as the design of various print materials (stationery, envelope design, business card design, etc.). The SEO-optimized Wix website is compatible with all mobile devices (including the mobile website) and GDPR-compliant. We were also responsible for keyword research and the corporate wording. A coherent social media design harmoniously rounds out the branding.

The logo design combines the company name Spedination with a logo icon that stands for three meanings:

  •  Tracing or tracking of the delivery, such as a location symbol
  •  Reminder of a tunnel, fitting the theme of movement, dynamics or forwarding
  •  rounded corners hold something together / Spedination brings people together and unites
  •  Subtle curves instead of sharp edges in the logo icon and the logo font convey a feeling of humanity, sympathy and fun.

The dominant corporate color in the branding is yellow, giving Spedination a high level of recognition. Furthermore, yellow is the color of intelligence, promotes brain activity, and represents knowledge and IQ. At the same time, yellow is also a color associated with fun, humor, and playfulness (e.g., Lego, Duplo, Simpsons). The remaining colors harmoniously round out the branding and allow for a wide range of flexible color applications.


The corporate typeface is FF Tisa Sans by Mitja Miklavcic. This typeface offers excellent legibility in both print and digital formats, combining friendly, rounded letter endings with visual objectivity and high recognition value. Fira Sans Italic by type designer Carrois Apostrophe is used for subheaders and subtle markup, providing an optimal contrast to the corporate typeface FF Tisa Sans.

Secondary stylistic elements were derived from the logo design, serving as a visual constant and cohesive branding across all communication channels—whether in print or digital form, business card design, web design, or social media design. The branding was transferred to the web design and optimized for all mobile devices (mobile website). Furthermore, the website is GDPR-compliant and SEO-optimized. A deliberately provocative and humorous corporate wording appeals to the desired target audience and strengthens employer branding.


Numerous advertising motifs for outdoor advertising and social media advertising on Instagram and Facebook contribute to employer branding and general brand awareness. We also designed an employee brochure, a customer brochure, and a freight forwarder brochure and were responsible for copywriting, photography, and overall layout.


The entire branding is documented in the corporate design manual, so that Spedination can grow smoothly as a franchise.
