INFOGRAPHIC DESIGNS - BIKE & E-BIKE REPORT 2023
INFOGRAPHIC DESIGN, BIG DATA VISUALIZATION, EDITORIAL DESIGN INSURANCE
The e-bike trend is here to stay. Reason enough for WERTGARANTIE (Hanover, Germany) to take a closer look and compare important topics relating to conventional bicycles and e-bikes. Aspects such as insurance, repairs and sustainability were examined as part of a large-scale study.
We designed various details of the study as infographics and created the Bike & E-Bike Report 2023 in the corporate design of WERTGARANTIE. This ensures maximum impact on the associated landing page as well as in ongoing press work and on various social media channels.

After some infographic design projects in the last years (Smartphone Repair Study 2019, E-Bike Repair Study 2020, Smartphone Repair Study 2020, E-Bike Repair Study 2021), this report is another milestone in terms of public relations and press work with visual support through infographic design.
Below you can see a small insight into the data visualization from the Bike & E-Bike Report 2023:
STORAGE LOCATION AND SECURITY:
WIDELY USED: INDOOR STORAGE AND LOCKING ON BIKE RACKS
84.3% of bikes stay indoors at night, often in the garage or in the cellar, around 55% of outdoor security is executed by bicycle racks.
MAINTENANCE BEHAVIOR:
REAL WELLNESS FOR THE BIKE – OR JUST THE BASICS?
A majority of 84.2% don't leave their bike out in the rain, over 78% check the tire pressure.
(Multiple answers possible.)
SUSTAINABLE OPTIONS:
CLEAR TREND TOWARDS SUSTAINABILITY

The majority of people asked are considering buying a bike made from sustainable materials; this applies to bicycle users (53.6%) and even more so to e-bike users (60.3%). Interesting: Around 50 percent of those surveyed would consider buying second-hand, but only 30 percent see a rental bike as an alternative to owning their own.

(Multiple answers possible.)
WHERE TO BUY:
THE NEARBY SPECIALIST RETAILERS

According to the motto "support your local dealer", 58.7% of those surveyed choose the local or regional bike shop for a new purchase, only 20.9% shop online.
DISPOSAL METHOD:
GOOD NEWS: ALMOST ALWAYS ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY DISPOSALS
21.3% of the affected bikes are sold privately or via online selling portals and thus get a second life. After all, giving away is a viable solution for a total of 14.4%, whereas 11.9% of the bikes land on the junkyard.
